This is my blog for faith, conspiracy and current events. Not sure when i'll add anything, but eventually. Stay tuned and remember what Jesus did for us always!!!
A lot of time people suffer and they turn to blaming God, because “if He is so powerful why can’t he stop my suffering?”. I understand that because i used to be like that, and that mindset led me into a downward spiral of drugs and self abuse.
The way I see it is through the lens of the seasons of the year. Winter represents depression, bad luck, addiction, awful things happening. It’s miserable, raining and freezing cold. But winter always ends, and there are two things to remember. Firstly, when summer comes around, it will truly be like it never was winter. The sun will be out, there won’t be a cloud in the sky, the birds will sing. Secondly, without rain in the winter, the flowers can’t bloom later on. Whatever you’re going through can teach you valuable lessons, and God will never let it get so bad that you can’t go on.
If you are saying ‘God never helped me!’ Remember this - you are still here. Even if it wasn’t obvious, He was helping you all along because you are STILL HERE! You didn’t give up and commit suicide, you didn’t fatally overdose, you didn’t snap. He has prevented it from getting bad enough to destroy you, because He can’t completely get rid of it - there is something important to be learnt from that experience.
So know that no matter how bad things are, God stands with you and loves you. I am reminded of the poem Footsteps in the Sand.
“One night I dreamed a dream.
As I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
One belonging to me and one to my Lord.
After the last scene of my life flashed before me,
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
I noticed that at many times along the path of my life,
especially at the very lowest and saddest times,
there was only one set of footprints.
This really troubled me, so I asked the Lord about it.
“Lord, you said once I decided to follow you,
You’d walk with me all the way.
But I noticed that during the saddest and most troublesome times of my life,
there was only one set of footprints.
I don’t understand why, when I needed You the most, You would leave me.”
The LORD replied:
“My precious child, I love you and will never leave you
Never, ever, during your trials and suffering.
When you saw only one set of footprints,
It was then that I carried you.””
